Shipbuilding was also very important to the area and a substantial number of vessels were produced there for almost 50 years, well into the early 1900s. Over the years, as the supply of timber was depleted, fishing became the primary source of income and remains the main industry in the area today. Halls Harbour lies along the shore of Nova Scotia’s, Bay of Fundy. Here, you will get to witness the highest tides in the world, with tides rising and falling as much as 42′ in the area.

You will spend approximately an hour exploring the area, seeing what rural life is like in one of Nova Scotia’s many coastal fishing villages.
